History of the Ingredients:


1. Rosehip Oil: Rosehip oil has been revered for centuries, dating back to the ancient Egyptians, Mayans, and Native Americans for its healing properties. Extracted from the seeds of rose bushes, this oil is packed with essential fatty acids and vitamins that are crucial for skin health. It’s known for its ability to reduce scars, fine lines, and promote an even skin tone.


2. Avocado Oil: Avocado oil, derived from the fruit of the avocado tree, has been used for its moisturising properties since the time of the Aztecs. Rich in vitamins A, D, and E, it deeply penetrates the skin to provide intense hydration and nourishment, making it ideal for dry or ageing skin.


3. Fractionated Coconut Oil: Fractionated coconut oil is a fraction of the whole oil, where the long-chain triglycerides are removed, leaving only the medium-chain triglycerides. 4. Essential Oils:

Ingredients:

  • Essential Oils:

  • 10 drops Bergamot Mint

  • 10 drops Grapefruit

  • 7 drops Juniper Berry

  • 5 drops Black Pepper

  • Carrier Oils:

  • 12 teaspoons Rosehip oil (60 ml)

  • 6 teaspoons Avocado oil (30 ml)

  • 10 teaspoons Fractionated Coconut oil (45 ml)

  • Decorative Additions:

  • 10x peppercorns

  • 5x dried rose petals


Tools Required:

  • 100ml glass bottle with dropper lid

  • Glass jug/bowl

  • Funnel


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Carrier Oils: Using a glass jug or bowl, pour in the rosehip oil, avocado oil, and fractionated coconut oil. These carrier oils provide a nourishing base that hydrates and protects your skin.

  2. Add Essential Oils: Carefully add the Bergamot Mint, Grapefruit, Juniper Berry, and Black Pepper essential oils to the carrier oil mixture. These oils not only offer therapeutic benefits but also give the body oil its luxurious aroma.

  3. Combine the Oils: Gently swirl the mixture to ensure that the essential oils are well combined with the carrier oils.

  4. Prepare the Glass Bottle: Place 10 peppercorns and 5 dried rose petals into the glass bottle. These additions are purely decorative but add a beautiful touch to your DIY body oil.

  5. Transfer the Oil: Using a funnel, pour the oil mixture into the glass bottle. Secure the dropper lid tightly.

  6. Final Touch: Give the bottle a gentle swirl to allow the peppercorns and rose petals to mix into the oils.
